How long can it be, and does it ever repeat?
Free renders go up to 10 minutes, which covers most songs. The visuals never repeat, no matter the length, so even a long mix keeps evolving with no loops. Longer and 4K exports are coming as a paid tier.
Does the video loop or repeat?
No, and that is the whole point. It never loops and never repeats. The visuals flow continuously and stay unique from start to finish, with no jarring cuts and no moment you have seen before.
Do I need an account or to upload my song?
No on both counts. There is no account or sign-up, and your song is never uploaded. It stays private to you.

A Chromium browser such as Chrome or Edge works best for video export. Other browsers may produce a WebM file instead, or may not be supported.

Can I make a Spotify Canvas with it?
Not yet. Old Light currently exports widescreen 16:9 backgrounds, while Spotify Canvas is a short vertical 9:16 clip. A vertical mode is on the roadmap.
